We started week 6 of C25K training today. For some reason, even though it was interval running/walking again, it was really hard. But isn’t it what I say everytime? 🙂 LOL
I started off with a brisk 5-minute warm-up walk at 4.5 m/h.
First run was a 5-minute one. I did the whole stretch at 6 m/h.
Next 3 minute walk at 4 m/h.
Second was an 8-minute run. I started off (the first 2 minutes) running at 6 m/h, but quickly ran out of steam and had to switch down to 5.5.
Walk 3 minutes at 3.5 m/h.
Last run – 5 minutes. The whole thing was done at 5.5 m/h.
Cool down 5 minute walk at 3.5 m/h.
Total ran/walked – 2.65 mi in 34 min. Total calories burned – 405.
Then we went to the weight machines to workout there. I did various machines there for about 50 minutes. Most of them I do at 3 sets of 30 reps. After I got tired of that (and did most of the machines), I went back upstairs to the cardio room and did elliptical machine for 15 minutes (another mile, 165 calories burned).
So in just my cardio workout today I burned 570 calories, total with the weight machines probably somewhere between 700-800. Not too bad, but I am sure very-very tired and sore.
